Galveston LNG Bunker Port ("GLBP") is a small-scale LNG bunker terminal in development by Pilot to supply clean burning LNG to the rapidly expanding fleet of LNG-fueled vessels. With new international regulations mandating cleaner burning fuels for the marine industry starting in 2020 and the shipping industry’s drive to reduce carbon emissions, GLBP is ideally situated to supply the growing Galveston Bay Port Complex with marine bunker fuel. The project is supported by the financial strength of our partner Seapath Group.
Salina Cruz LNG is a small-scale LNG liquefaction facility in development with GF International. The project is strategically located on Mexico’s Pacific Coast at the Port of Salina Cruz. The project's focus is on bunker markets on the Pacific West Coast, as far north as Southern California and south to the Pacific entrance of the Panama Canal. There is also optionality to utilize Salina Cruz for competitively priced, Henry Hub-linked exports to Asia by avoiding the Panama Canal.
The Cork LNG FSRU import terminal will be located in the Whitegate area of Cork Harbor with a short pipeline lateral to Gas Networks Ireland’s main transmission system. The proposed terminal will provide a security of supply backstop for Ireland’s natural gas and energy needs. By design, the flexibility of an FSRU project can support and adapt to the nation's energy transition plans. Pilot has executed an agreement for the exclusive development of the terminal with the Port of Cork.
